Wonder The Movie #ChooseKind

This movie is inspiring. Upon seeing the trailer the first time, I knew this was a must-see. I didn't come from reading the book and I didn't have to in order to appreciate it's brilliance. My husband, my 5 year old and I attended a screening for Wonder and needless to say, we are blown away by Auggie and his story. Based on a best-selling novel by R.J. Palacio, Auggie is a young boy who was born with a facial deformity. Auggie is no stranger to hospitals and awkward gawks from people. Wonder is an emotional rollercoaster and the character stories tightly knitted into the main story will surely be relatable to a piece of you or more.

I was so happy we were able to take my son to see this film, I asked him what the movie taught and he said "It teaches people to be nice to people even if they're different." He got it! Parents and kids alike need to watch this beautiful story that teaches an amazing lesson- Always, always choose kind!

While this is a lesson we should all know well, we can always use the reminder. I'm raising two boys and would like to think I'm raising them to be empathetic, kind and compassionate. The world needs it more than anything right now!
